A truely Superfood! Contains: Antioxidants-Alpha-lipoic acid, Vit A,B6,C,Iron,Folate,Manganese,Magnesium,Copper,Zinc,

Potassium.... But the real star ingredient is Nitrate which produces Nitric Acid and this has been show to dilate the blood vessels which improves blood flow and therefore improves performance in endurance and team sports. It has also been shown to lower blood pressure and stabilise blood suger levels.

Research in the University of Exeter Sports Nutrition Dept recommends 140ml of concentrate or 500ml of pure beet juice

2-3 hours before event for peak levels of nitric acid.

Raw beetroot is obviously better as cooking will deplete Vits and minerals. It can be grated onto salad, used in smoothies, lightly steamed or roasted. If juicing your own buy organic and add a little orange/apple juice, pineapple juice, ginger, lemon juice or mint. It is also really easy to grow your own.
